Duncan Peppercorn Executive Director SVA Consulting |
Duncan leads the SVA Consulting team.
He has seven years of experience working with the international strategic consultancies McKinsey & Company and Bain & Company, and five years working as an independent consultant before joining SVA. Duncan has supported clients in resources, construction materials, consumer goods, telecoms, industrial products and financial services, as well as social enterprises and the arts.
He holds an MA (Hons) from Cambridge University.
Jeanne Allegro Analyst |
Jeanne joined SVA recently after over three years gaining experience in the government, non-profit and multilateral organisation sectors. Prior to joining SVA, Jeanne was a Policy Analyst with the Australian Treasury where she provided advice to the Treasurer on education and labour market issues. In previous roles at the Treasury she focused on supporting Australia’s membership of the World Bank and assessing aid effectiveness issues, fiscal strategy and domestic and international climate change policy.
Jeanne has also worked for the International Labour Organization’s Regional Office of the Asia-Pacific developing training programs on green jobs for employer organisations, worker associations and governments, and for a non-profit in Thailand as a refugee advocate.
Jeanne holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the University of Melbourne and is currently studying a Master of Public Policy from the Australian National University.
Kateryna Andreyeva Analyst |
Kateryna joined SVA Consulting in 2011 with a focus on Measurement and Evaluation, especially applying the Social Return on Investment (SROI) methodology. Kateryna has applied the SROI methodology to small and large social enterprises, and to not-for-profit organisations with multiple services. She is an accredited SROI practitioner.
Prior to SVA Consulting, Kateryna spent over three years at L.E.K. Consulting where she worked on strategy and M&A related projects across Australia, NZ and the UK. Kateryna has volunteered in educational and leadership roles for a number of non-profit organisations and through her work with L.E.K. Consulting supported non-profit organisations in securing government funding, development of business plans, program design and stakeholder engagement.
Kateryna is currently completing a Masters of International Relations and Development at the University of Melbourne and holds Bachelor of Economics and Commerce and Bachelor of Arts, also from the University of Melbourne.
Hannah Chadwick Analyst |
Hannah joined SVA Consulting in September 2012 having previously consulted to the World Bank, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development and the NSW Ministry of Health on projects related child well-being and development and drug and alcohol substance misuse.
She worked for the United Nations in Mexico City from 2009-2011 and prior to this for the Australian Institute of Criminology in the Global Economic and Electronic Crime Program. She sat on the board of the UNWOMEN Australian National Commission from 2009-2010.
Hannah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in French and Spanish language studies from the University of New South Wales and a Masters in Anthropology and Development from the Australian National University.
Lisa Cotton Consultant Associate |
Lisa has spent the last decade working with philanthropists and non profit leaders and is passionate about how private resources can be used more effectively for public good.
She is founding partner of Funding Edge, which provides workshops and strategic advice in philanthropy and non profit organisation growth. For seven years, she was Director Social Investment at Social Ventures Australia and prior to that, was Associate Director of DDB Worldwide Communications.
Lisa has held senior government roles in business strategy and marketing with The Perth Mint and the Western Australian Tourism Commission. She is Chairman of Documentary Australia Foundation, member of the Kokoda Leadership Council and former board member of School Aid Trust.
Nick Elliott Senior Consultant |
Nick has recently joined SVA after almost ten years gaining a wealth of entrepreneurial experience as owner and a director of LineBreak Performance Sportswear, one of the original brands of compression wear that created the category in Australia and internationally. Nick brings experience from both the commercial and the non-profit sectors.
Prior to LineBreak, Nick worked for a number of years in strategy consulting for Bain in Sydney, in the non-profit sector for WWF in Switzerland, Russia and Indonesia and in corporate banking in London and Frankfurt.
Simon Faivel Senior Consultant |
Simon Faivel joined SVA in 2007 and has been a part of the SVA Consulting team since August 2009. Simon has worked extensively with non-profit organisations and social businesses in Australia. His focus is on Measurement and Evaluation, and leads SVA’s work on Social Return on Investment (SROI). Simon is an accredited SROI trainer and practitioner.
Prior to joining SVA Simon traveled extensively, working and volunteering in challenging and remote locations including China, Papua (Indonesia), India and Australia. He has consulting experience in commercial and community sectors, having advised global resources companies, Australian utilities, small businesses and community organisations. Previously Simon was a strategy consultant in Accenture’s Resources Operating Group, advising clients on strategic and operational decisions. He has also started, owned and operated two companies.
Simon holds a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts (Hons. in Philosophy) from Monash University.
Vikki Foord Coordinator |
Vikki joined SVA Consulting in May 2012 to provide support to the team. She has over 15 years experience in various administrator roles, including working as Executive Assistant for the Chief Risk Officer of Perpetual and Senior Administrator for the Perpetual Philanthropic funding round. She has also worked at a leading non-profit community housing company.
Vikki volunteers on the fundraising committee for KidsXpress and at Giant Steps Sydney ‘Siblings Group’ days.
Vikki holds a BA from University of New England Armidale and a Cert IV in Project Management.
Siddharth Ghosh Analyst |
Siddharth joined SVA Consulting in 2011 and has a focus on Social Return on Investment (SROI). Prior to joining SVA, Siddharth worked for KPMG’s advisory service where he assisted clients across the public, private and social sectors with their strategic planning and to deliver operational transformations. While at KPMG he also took on a short-term role with their Corporate Citizenship team.
Siddharth is founding Director of a Private Ancillary Fund (PAF) and has volunteered his time in Bolivia, Thailand, India and Australia.
He holds a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering from the University of New South Wales, is a certified Prince2 Practitioner for project management and is trained in the Lean Six Sigma operational improvement methodology.
Olivia Hilton Partner |
Olivia is a former CEO of an Australian publicly listed communications company, where she devised, led and managed the company’s strategy and day-to-day operations, including a staff of 100 employees in five countries. She has extensive experience in strategy development, implementation, communications and operations.
In 2007 Olivia turned her attention towards the non-profit sector and took up a position in Mozambique to work as a consultant for Technoserve, an American NGO focused on assisting entrepreneurial men and women in poor rural areas of the developing world to build businesses that create income, opportunity and economic growth.
Olivia holds a Bachelor of Business (Hons) from RMIT and a diploma in Financial Markets from FINSIA.
David James Consultant Associate |
David has twenty eight years experience in the social sector in Australia, principally in child protection, homelessness, youth, disability,emergency relief, and family relationship services.
David worked in the non-profit youth sector for eight years, in the NSW and Queensland state governments for ten years, and has engaged in consultancy for over a decade. David specialises in strategic thinking and planning, program performance, monitoring and evaluation, quality assurance and business excellence.
Duncan Lockard Consultant |
Duncan joined SVA in 2011 from aid and development organisation The Oaktree Foundation, where he served as Deputy CEO. Oaktree funds development projects addressing educational needs in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as engaging young Australians to be leaders for change within their own communities.
He has previously worked at global strategy consultancy McKinsey & Company and the University of Sydney’s Strategic Planning Office, contributing to the development of its 2011-15 Strategic Plan.
Duncan holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Commerce from the University of Sydney.
Prashan Paramanathan Senior Consultant |
Prashan joined SVA Consulting in August 2009. Prior to joining SVA, Prashan worked for IFC Advisory Services, World Bank Group in Western China, where he supported the development of emerging commercial microfinance banks and new financial services regulation.
Prashan has also previously worked for Port Jackson Partners, a boutique management consultancy firm where he assisted an Australian high end retailer, a financial services joint venture and an oil and gas client on their strategic and operational decisions.
Prashan holds a Bachelor of Mechatronic Engineering (University Medal, First Class Honours) and a Masters of Biomedical Engineering from the University of New South Wales.
Nick Perini Analyst |
Nick joined SVA in late 2012 after two years working as a public policy consultant at Ernst & Young, where he worked on a range of strategic and evaluation projects for public sector clients. Nick has also spent time working in the Victorian Government at both the Department of Premier and Cabinet and Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
Nick recently completed a short term secondment at the Cape York Institute and has previously worked at World Vision Australia in their Sustainability Team.
Nick holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts from Monash University.
Abarna Raj Consultant |
Prior to joining SVA Consulting, Abarna headed Sustainability, Safety, Diversity at Leighton Holdings where she was responsible for policy, strategy and risk management as it related to environmental, social and governance issues. Abarna has also previously worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers, Climate Change and sustainability consulting team, where she assisted a range of clients to develop and implement strategies to improve business performance, mitigate risk, improve profitability and maximise operational efficiency.
She has a deep interest in social change and is the Founding director of Palmera, a not for profit empowering entrepreneurs in Sri Lanka and Cambodia to break out of the poverty cycle.
Abarna holds a Bachelor of Law and finance from the University of New South Wales.
Suzie Riddell Senior Consultant |
Suzie joined SVA Consulting in 2011. Prior to joining SVA, Suzie spent three years at Bain & Company, where she worked on strategy, private equity diligence and transformation programs with clients in financial services, consumer products, telecommunications and transport. While at Bain, Suzie led and participated in several pro bono projects for community organisations.
Suzie is also a non-executive director for two non-profit organisations; YWCA NSW and Holdsworth Community Centre & Services.
Suzie holds a Bachelor of Accounting (University Medal, First Class Honours) from the University of Technology, Sydney and a Master of Philosophy (International Relations) from the University of Cambridge.
David White Consultant Associate |
David is the principal of Zentricity, a consultancy which specialises in hands-on advice on corporate governance, and emphasises the importance of protecting, nurturing and growing the interests of stakeholders in the governance process. He was the Executive Director of Governance for Vodafone Australia, with the primary responsibility for governance of Vodafone’s operations in Australia and Fiji. He also overviewed legal affairs, public policy issues, corporate social responsibility and social investment for Vodafone in those countries. He was the founder and chairman of the Vodafone Australia Foundation and the Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation.
David has been admitted as a solicitor for over 30 years. He was previously group general counsel and company secretary at Perpetual Trustees, and before that a senior solicitor and company secretary with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
