Inclusion of those who live on the margins of our society because of disability, mental illness, loss of homeland or some other disadvantage is at the heart of SVA’s efforts to create life-building opportunities for people to participate in, and make a meaningful contribution, to the community.
Our work in developing and building social enterprises – real businesses with a social purpose and non-profit structure – is specifically designed to create employment opportunities, and a real sense of being part of the wider community, for those previously excluded from the mainstream labour market.
