SVA is currently recruiting the following positions.

Bullet Consultant x 2
Bullet Knowledge Manager
Bullet Education Director
Bullet Education Manager
Bullet SVA Consulting Partner

Consultant
Social Ventures Australia (SVA) is a non-profit organisation investing in social change, by helping increase the impact and build the sustainability of organisations in the social sector.

We provide funding and strategic support to carefully selected non-profit partners, as well as offering consulting services to the social sector more broadly.

The consulting division works with a range of non-profit organisations and social enterprises on customised, results-driven solutions which improve organisational performance and social impact. The consulting team also supports funders, including foundations, philanthropists and governments, to make informed decisions about their social investments.

Assignments can range from strategy development to operational enhancement to evaluation and measurement to demonstration of impact, including application of the internationally recognised tool, Social Return on Investment (SROI).

We believe that results are driven by four levers: a clear purpose; identification and design of the most effective strategy to pursue that purpose; access to smart money to fund the strategy; and efficient and effective allocation and use of resources available (including boards).  We exist to strengthen these levers, enabling the non-profit sector to deliver sustainable social improvement to disadvantaged Australians.

Position
We are looking for dynamic, confident self-starters, with exceptional analytical and communication skills, who would like to join a rapidly growing, exciting and diverse team, who are passionate about Australia’s social sector.

Location
We are currently recruiting for individuals to join both our Sydney and Melbourne based teams.

Responsibilities
Each Consultant’s responsibilities vary from case to case depending on the needs of the client.

Typical responsibilities include:
Bullet Scoping client projects.
Bullet Conducting qualitative research and analysis through interviews with non-profit client staff, client beneficiaries and experts in the field.
Bullet Conducting quantitative research and analysis of the non-profit sector.
Bullet Working with management and boards of client organisations.
Bullet Conducting financial analysis, including financial projections.
Bullet Preparing clear and compelling presentation materials.
Bullet Facilitating and presenting analysis and findings.
Bullet Capturing and sharing knowledge both internally and externally.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role you must have at least two years experience working with a top-tier strategic consulting firm, blended with experience in hands on operations and business development.  You must be able to demonstrate experience with, an understanding of, and a commitment to, the non-profit sector.  You will also need a high tolerance for ambiguity, uncertainty and complexity and will be self-driven and highly motivated.

Next steps
If you have the skills and experience we’re looking for, please email your resume including professional referees (who will be contacted only with your permission) and a cover letter that addresses the position requirements, to Suzy Gellert at sgellert@socialventures.com.au

We provide funding and strategic support to carefully selected non-profit partners, as well as offering consulting services to the social sector more broadly.

SVA Consulting works with a range of non-profit organisations and social enterprises on customised, results-driven solutions which improve organisational performance and social impact. The consulting team also supports funders, including foundations, philanthropists and governments, to make informed decisions about their social investments.

Our professional staff have a depth and breadth of both corporate and non-profit experience, gleaned from top-tier consulting organisations, positioning us well to work alongside our clients to meet their challenges.  We operate throughout Australia from our offices in Sydney and Melbourne, and partner with major strategic consulting organisations on a project basis as required.
