Capital Fund
SVA’s Capital Fund is a segregated and professionally invested pool of money funded by those who are interested in supporting the long term security and viability of SVA’s model. Earnings from the investments go to support the ongoing work of SVA while the capital remains professionally invested in perpetuity.
The SVA Capital Fund commenced in May 2007. Up until 30 June 2008 $1.6 million had been contributed to the Fund.
Our current policy is to pay a minimum of 2.5 per cent of the Capital Fund’s value to SVA every six months, in November and May (i.e. five per cent of the Capital Fund size per annum). However, we may choose to delay the payment if it is more desirable to do so for liquidity reasons or we may decide to increase or decrease the ongoing percentage depending on the expectation of long term investment earnings after the effects of inflation.
To help establish a material capital base, payments from the SVA Capital Fund to SVA will be suspended until the asset base reaches $10 million. Once reached, the ongoing payments will be made to the SVA Fund. Click on links to read more about SVA's funding options
