Who We Partner With Criteria Ventures selected for an SVA Venture Development partnership will fit the following criteria: | | | Addresses a clear need with a robust solution that has the potential to bring about significant and lasting benefit for a substantial number of people.
| | | | Run by a strong, passionately committed leader, social entrepreneur or CEO who has ambition for growth and the potential to develop his or her capability. | | | | Has an actively engaged Board or Management Committee, led by an effective Chair, that has a strong appetite to develop its effectiveness and to grow the organisation's social impact. | | | | Clearly demonstrates with credible evidence the ability to deliver results to a significant number of the people that the organisation/program aims to serve. | | | | Based on a model for change that has excellent potential to grow to a significant scale |
| | | Established with basic operational processes in place (including financial processes), DGR status, sound financial health and legally compliant with relevant regulations (such as regulations around working with children)
| | | | Must be at a suitable stage of development where the organisation is able to embrace SVA’s capacity building, highly-engaged partnership approach and structured way of working

Characteristics
Structural characteristics
- Established, small ventures poised for growth but needing capacity building support to realise their potential
- Turnover of at least $100,000 per annum
- Program(s) already running and demonstrating clear, compelling results on a significant number of disadvantaged and/or marginalised people
- CEO, leader or founder in place and organisation established
- Strategic/business plan available
- Audited accounts available for at least the last year
- DGR status achieved
Location - Based in Australia with operations and programs largely affecting change in Australia
Areas of work we will support - Organisations that fit strongly with our Selection Criteria and are achieving clear, demonstrable and positive outcomes with a significant number of people

We therefore seek to enter into open relationships with ventures and to work closely with them to achieve significant growth. Expressions of Interest
SVA's Venture Development portfolio does not operate on the basis of having submission 'rounds'. We assess Expressions of Interest throughout the year submitted through SVA's website.
