Jo is a Consultant with Social Ventures Australia (SVA). She has recently been working with Woodside and MercyCare in Western Australia (WA) to develop prioritisation (decision making) and portfolio management frameworks, to help them recognise where they can have the greatest impact.

Before joining SVA, she worked as an independent consultant and coach with non-profit organisations, government agencies, small businesses and schools, helping them to bring about people focused change, organisational improvements and growth so they could have a greater impact.

She was involved as a systemic advocate in WA mental health reform through implementation of the Mental Health Act 2014 and by participating in the Executive Advisory Group for the Mental Health Networks. She still works to de-stigmatise mental health issues, promote mentally healthy and resilient workplaces and help people manage their mental well being. She has also been an active and long-time volunteer with Breast Cancer Care WA and Foodbank WA.

Prior to this, she enjoyed a 20-year international career in the global petroleum industry in technical, commercial and business development roles across the US, Europe and Australia, including with a global consulting team inside Shell.

Jo holds a doctorate degree in Geology from the University of Oxford and a Masters degree in Geology from Victoria university of Wellington, New Zealand.
