As part of NAB’s commitment to building prosperous communities through initiatives that increase the social inclusion and well-being of Australians, eligible non-profit customers were recently invited to apply for a 2014 NAB Community Grant. Social Ventures Australia were awarded grant funding to support the Industry Employment Initiative Youth Pilot (IEI); a two year long project aiming to work directly with national employers to train and place 125 unemployed young people across Victoria. Benefits of IEI for youth participants include, amongst others: developing skills that align with real job opportunities, placement in work experience and training related to a real job, development of resilience and capabilities to maintain long term employment.
