SVA Consulting and family violence
A new and rapidly growing area of focus, SVA Consulting’s family and domestic violence practice works with organisations in the specialist family violence sector and mainstream services, supporting victim survivors, vulnerable children and families, and perpetrators of violence.
We understand that family violence is often a significant driver of disadvantage, whether through homelessness, mental and physical ill-health, unemployment or disengagement from school. For some communities such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and culturally and linguistically diverse communities, the experience and effects of family violence are compounded.
We support organisations working in prevention, early intervention, crisis response and recovery to develop better strategies, successfully implement them and measure and evaluate the impact of their important work. We also advise on opportunities to collaborate for greater social impact. To deliver the best outcomes for our clients we often partner with leading academic experts, practitioners and former policy makers.
