Employment Evidence and Practice Adviser, Part time, Melbourne or Sydney
As part of SVA’s Career Ladder initiative, the Employment Evidence and Practice Adviser promotes the identification and application of good practice by employers in creating quality jobs and careers for young people at risk of economic exclusion.
This role also helps ensure that the SVA Employment Team’s work reflects best available evidence and generates new information and insights by documenting leading employer practice and effective collaborations.
Manager, Policy and Advocacy, full time, Melbourne or Sydney
The Manager Policy & Advocacy oversees SVA’s policy and advocacy activity in selected policy areas, which may include impact investing, charity sector viability and employment, as part of the team’s collective effort to co-ordinate SVA’s government engagement and advocacy activity. The position contributes to the development of policy positions and implementation of advocacy strategies to drive change in Australia’s policy landscape linked to SVA’s overarching campaign and advocacy agenda. This requires close engagement with staff and teams in SVA with relevant subject matter expertise, policy research and analysis, participating in government relations and managing relationships with sector stakeholders and partners
Grants Officer, Fundraising and Partnerships, full time, Melbourne or Sydney
This role is a key member of the Partnerships team, with a focus on raising funds from high value donors including trusts and foundations, Private Ancillary Funds, major and middle donors, and corporates to support the work of the organisation.
The Grants Officer reports directly to the Head of Trusts and Foundations and requires a professional, creative, thorough, and highly organised candidate who has a strong desire to build a successful career in philanthropy and social impact. The Grants Officer will directly contribute to the long-term success of SVA’s strategic objectives through their own success in the role.
Director, Funds Advisory, Maximum Term (12 months), full/part time, Sydney
The Director Funds Advisory is responsible for the continued evolution of SVA’s work to create greater impact across the social impact investing sector. This includes:
- Leading the strategic direction of the practice, leveraging SVA’s extensive expertise and strong reputation to create greater impact across the sector.
- Leading key strategic funds structuring advisory projects, advisory engagements and ensure the delivery of high-quality funds advisory services.
- Identifying new opportunities to provide funds advisory support, suitable partners, and programs for new initiatives.
- Establishing and maintaining key relationships across governments, service providers and the investor base.
The Director Funds Advisory contributes to overall leadership of SVA’s social finance / impact investing practice, continually promoting and encouraging high quality work and outstanding performance. Furthermore, this role also works collaboratively across the broader SVA team, providing and leveraging expertise, thought leadership and advocacy.
