What is Nurture Together?

All children should have timely access to the wrap-around supports they need so they can start school ready.

Unfortunately, Australia has a significant number of children and families experiencing disadvantage. It is often these children, who have the most to gain from accessing quality early learning, that fall through the cracks and miss out. Those that do access early learning often don’t access the models we know will have the greatest impact.

Nurture Together is working to ensure that the most vulnerable children in Australia get access to the right supports in order to thrive.

We are strengthening service leadership and capability to provide quality, integrated services.

Advocating for structural reform

We are helping to improve the funding and policy environment so that all children in need can access these vital supports

Highlights of our work

Impact of integrated early years services

SVA launched two exciting new papers exploring the critical role of integrated child and family centres, the key enablers to increase their impact and pathways to scale.

Intensive early childhood program

SVA helped to secure more than $9 million of funding to support an estimated 200 of Australia’s most vulnerable children to access an intensive early childhood education and care program

Holistic and integrated early learning services

SVA commissioned the Centre for Community Child Health (MCRI) to explore the potential of integrated child and family centre service models to support children and families experiencing vulnerability.
