Anna Ashenden

‘I am passionate about social justice and community-driven sustainable development. Through SVA, I can support organisations to create strategic, sustainable and inclusive social impact.’

Anna is a Principal in the SVA Consulting team, with 15+ years’ experience in supporting organisations to define and measure their impact and consider future strategic directions for programs and policies.

Recent work includes leading a consortium of disability and housing providers to codesign and implement sector-wide outcomes framework for disability housing; an evaluation of the ECES program under the Future Directions Program for the NSW Department of Communities and Justice; and working with a Primary Health Network and two Local Health Districts to develop a collaborative disaster response hub for the region to improve community resilience, mental health, and wellbeing.

Prior to SVA, Anna spent over a decade in the for-purpose sector, including with grassroots, national and international NGOs, governments, and the United Nations. She is a skilled facilitator and community engagement professional. She has worked closely with communities on complex issues including mental health, housing and homelessness, employment, and social isolation.

Anna is the former Chair of the NSW SIMNA branch. She holds a Bachelor of Psychology (First Class Honours), a Master of International and Community Development, and a Graduate Certificate in Social Impact, as well as tertiary qualifications in participatory project management.
