Gayle Evans

‘The best career advice I had was to find something you’re passionate about, and do that. At SVA, we bring government, community, business and philanthropic worlds together, giving us all the chance to contribute our respective strengths to our most pressing social issues. Our humanity is what brings us together…and by working together, we unlock its power to make a difference.’

Gayle is an Associate Director in SVA’s Venture Philanthropy team based in Brisbane, focusing on the QLD venture portfolio.

Gayle has diverse experience across government, consulting and non-profit sectors. She has held policy roles in government and worked in strategy consulting with Booz Allen Hamilton, undertaking organisational capacity building projects in India and Vietnam. She has held senior leadership roles in social purpose organisations for nearly 15 years, including with Australian Red Cross. As State Manager of YouthInvest, Gayle managed an innovative cross-sector partnering program which leveraged community and business capacity to deliver education and employment transition outcomes for youth.

Gayle holds a Bachelor of Business (Economics) and has undertaken INSEAD’s Social Enterpreneurship Program and Harvard’s Program on Negotiation. She completed the Australian Institute of Company Director’s Advanced Not for Profit governance course in 2015.
