Hannah Matthews

I believe that every child should be able to access a great education that supports them to thrive – especially those experiencing disadvantage.

Hannah is an Associate Director in the Evidence for Learning (E4L) team. E4L aims to help educators increase learning for students, by improving the quality, availability and use of evidence.

Prior to beginning at SVA, Hannah was a Policy Fellow at the Mitchell Institute of Education and Health policy where her work focused on developing recommendations to address complex challenges in the early years of childhood and in school settings. She brings practical experience from her time spent teaching, and her work at the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) where she led the development of professional learning for teachers and school leaders for the Online Formative Assessment Initiative.

Hannah holds a Bachelor of Education (Primary) from Edith Cowan University, and a Master of Education (Policy in a Global Context) from the University of Melbourne.
