Jon Myer

‘For me, working at SVA means I get to align my personal and professional interests. We have a lot to be proud of in Australia, but we face persistent and complex social challenges. Working to find solutions with our partners across the social, public and corporate sectors is a real privilege.’

Jon is a Principal in the Consulting team with Social Ventures Australia (SVA). Since joining the organisation in 2014, he has led a diverse range of strategic planning, service design and outcomes management projects with organisations such as Lifeline Australia (read more about this project here), the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet and Te Whānau O Waipareira (read more about this project here). Jon also leads SVA Consulting’s work in mental health (read SVA’s Mental Health Perspective Paper here).

Prior to joining SVA, he spent eight years working as a communications and external relations advisor across the private, public and non-profit sectors. He has held roles with the Victorian Department of Human Services, Australia Post’s Corporate Affairs Division and the Foundation for Young Australians. He also has a passion for strategic philanthropy and has been a member of The Myer Foundation for more than 15 years and currently serves on the Board of the Australian Environmental Grantmakers Network.

Jon holds an MBA (with distinction) from ESADE Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Arts (Media Communications) from the University of Melbourne.
