Simon Faivel

‘Many things in our society are broken. SVA gives me a chance to try and influence our society so that it is a little less broken. The work is meaningful and the people are passionate (about the right sort of things). SVA is one of my homes.’

Simon is a Director in the Consulting team having been with SVA since 2007. Simon’s focus is on managing to outcomes and he leads SVA’s work on Social Value and Social Return on Investment (SROI). He is an accredited Social Value and SROI trainer and practitioner (click here for training dates).

Simon is also the Founding Chair of the Social Impact Measurement Network of Australia (SIMNA), co-Chair of Social Value International (SVI) and is on the international SVI Methodology Sub-Committee.

Prior to joining SVA, Simon was a strategy consultant at Accenture, a management consulting firm. He has also started, owned and operated two companies. Simon has travelled extensively, working and volunteering in challenging and remote locations in China, Papua, India and Australia. He holds a BSc. and BA (Hons. in Philosophy) from Monash University.

Simon has shared his expertise and perspective in many articles over the years, the most recent being in a Humans of Purpose podcast on the Ethics of Covid-19, and the SVA Quarterly articles Seven pitfalls to avoid in outcomes measurement and SROI revolution or evolution.
