How to be more effective in reducing disadvantage? Insights from 10 years of SVA Consulting
Social Ventures Australia is excited to present the next SVA Quarterly events on 27 July in Melbourne and 2 August in Sydney.
This July marks a decade of SVA Consulting, a timely milestone to reflect on what progress the sector has made in reducing disadvantage in that time, and how that can inform our approach going forward.
Hear the varied perspectives of senior leaders from service delivery organisations, government, funders and SVA Consulting, with the opportunity to add your voice to the debate as we explore this topic.
In the last decade the sector and SVA Consulting have grown considerably. Since 2007, SVA’s Consulting team has provided their expertise to over 650 projects for more than 300 organisations. According to the ACNC’s Australian Charities Report 2015, the charity sector has grown to an annual turnover of $134.5 billion, and the total income of the sector was equivalent to 8.3 per cent of Australia’s GDP*.
And yet, the question remains, how much of this activity has led to better outcomes for people in need in Australia? And what does this mean for how we approach this task for the coming 10 years?
