WISE Employment Social Impact Indicators and Impact Reporting
Objective
To develop organisational social impact indicators & impact reporting for external and internal use by WISE.
Role we played
In conjunction with WISE, SVA Consulting:
- Developed a series of program logic models and organisational theory of change using a ‘top-down’ and ‘bottom-up’ approach. This allowed us to capture the complexity of the organisation as well as the contribution each initiative makes to its overarching outcomes
- Designed an outcomes framework that articulated the relevant indicators and measurement approaches & methodology for the collection and calculation of the most important outcomes. This saw us identify indicators that will allow the organisation to measure both the social impact for different stakeholder groups as well as the economic contribution WISE is making
- Piloted the outcomes framework and data collection tools by collecting data from different stakeholder groups and aggregating data from across the organisation
- Developed a series of dashboards to aggregate and visually communicate the outcomes data collected and created an ‘Impact Report’ to demonstrate the performance of WISE and its programs across these outcomes
Impact
WISE was able to create its first Impact Report that was shared with its Executive Team, providing new insights into the effectiveness of their programs and experiences of participants. WISE has continued with its data collection and reporting activities and has recently finished its second Impact Report, with some ongoing, light-touch support from SVA Consulting.
