SVA consultant Shaun McMahon among AMP tomorrow makers

SVA consultant Shaun McMahon has been named as one of 42 Tomorrow Makers to receive grant funding from the AMP Tomorrow Fund, in recognition of their work towards a better Australia.

Chosen from thousands of people across the country, the 2015 Tomorrow Makers come from all walks of life. They include artists, athletes, advocates, scientists and social innovators.

Shaun has been working to create positive social change for a long time. He participated in international model UN conferences at university and, after graduating, traveled to Bolivia to help grow a conservation social enterprise in the Amazon. Through his work at SVA Shaun has assisted numerous social purpose organisations to understand and improve their social impact.

Shaun commented:

‘I’m stoked and humbled to be among the 42 Australians named as the 2015 AMP Tomorrow Makers.

‘AMP’s Tomorrow Fund is a wonderful initiative helping passionate Australians to realise their potential.

‘The grant has helped me to pursue my Masters of Public Policy at the University of Chicago where I am focused on understanding how we can continue to empower the vital work of Australia’s for-purpose organisations. It will allow me to make a greater contribution towards advocating for crucial reforms that could transform the sector and our communities.

‘A huge thanks to the AMP Foundation and congratulations to all of the other inspiring recipients.’
