SVA CEO Suzie Riddell selected for new Social Impact Leadership Australia program

A diverse group of 24 leaders and organisations will participate in the SILA program, a series of immersive and dedicated training and support opportunities over ten months.

Social Ventures Australia is delighted to share that Suzie Riddell, SVA CEO has been selected to participate in the inaugural Social Impact Leadership Australia (SILA) program.

SILA is a capacity building and leadership program designed specifically for leaders of for-purpose organisations.

Speaking about the announcement this week, SVA Board Chair Rob Koczkar said, ‘SVA’s Board, Leadership Team and I are very excited for Suzie and SVA to have this opportunity. It’s a wonderful recognition of Suzie’s contribution as a leader in the sector. I look forward to the amazing change I know she’ll be able to create in the future thanks to this support.’

Run by the Centre for Social Impact, the program aims to drive positive change for society by building the capacity of individual leaders, their organisations and the broader social sector. This first iteration will run for 10 months with 24 CEOs from a range of organisations in NSW and ACT. The cohort will participate in a series of immersive learning experiences, a tailored sabbatical and coaching, and will form a network to build and amplify their social impact.

‘I’m looking forward to the opportunity to work with and learn from like-minded CEOs, and it’s an honour to be chosen alongside these leaders who are driving fantastic work in our communities,’ said Riddell.

‘We believe strongly at SVA that investment in capacity building is key to ensuring a vibrant social sector to support Australia’s people and communities. It’s wonderful to be part of this initiative and to see this kind of dedicated support for sector leadership.’
