CIE (Connection International Exploration)

This ground-breaking international program exposes school leaders to innovative, evidence-informed educational practice on a global scale.

The focus is to draw on SVA networks around the world, in order to explore landmark teaching and learning models, within schools and communities experiencing disadvantage outside of Australia.

The inaugural CIE in 2017 was attended by 12 school leaders who, along with The Connection’s Director Sue Cridge, engaged with educators and innovators in Canada and the USA. In 2018, a second CIE has seen 14 school leaders visit the UK, to learn from and interact with British schools, organisations and government about STEM practices and student agency.

Lessons and learnings from our CIE program are highlighted and shared via symposiums and presentations, to further inform practice in Connection schools here in Australia.
