How do I know I am creating positive social value?
Social Return on Investment (SROI) is an internationally recognised framework for understanding, measuring and valuing social, economic and environmental outcomes. This two-day SROI practitioner training course is accredited by Social Value International and will equip you with a working knowledge of social value and SROI. The course will cover:
- The philosophy behind SROI and the seven principles of social value
- Practical exercises to understand, measure and value outcomes
- Real applications and examples to show how your organisation can use the principles of Social Value and SROI to increase your impact
This course counts towards your accreditation as an SROI practitioner.*
About your presenters
Simon Faivel is an accredited SROI trainer and practitioner and leads SVA’s work in SROI. Simon brings a wealth of expertise and a depth of knowledge to the course, together with a passion for the subject and an engaging teaching style.
Joining Simon for the Sydney workshops will be accredited SROI practitioner Matt Bevan, Business Partner for Uniting. In his role at Uniting, Matt is supporting the development of a framework for measuring the social value created by Uniting in NSW and ACT. Matt believes that social impact measurement is achievable for all organisations willing to ‘give it a go’ and his preferred approach is to start simple and strive for incremental improvements over time.
*Note: after completing this course you will not be an accredited SROI practitioner. To become an accredited SROI practitioner you need to be a member of Social Value International or an affiliated national network, such as Social Impact Measurement Network of Australia (SIMNA), and you need to complete an SROI analysis and report that is assured by Social Value International.
Please see Social Value UK for further information about becoming an accredited SROI practitioner.
