Andrea is a Director in the Venture Philanthropy team and joined SVA in April 2013. She has oversight for a range of cross-sector collaborations that focus on tackling or preventing long-term unemployment:
- Industry Employment Initiative: prototyping a new employment model that more effectively connects Australia’s national employers with long-term unemployed job seekers who are willing and able to work – in consortium with the Brotherhood of St Laurence, Jesuit Social Services and Mission Australia, supported by the Business Council of Australia.
- High Growth Jobs –Talented Candidates is an employment pilot designed to meet the needs of employers by building their disability confidence, whilst better preparing candidates with disability, for jobs of the future. This project is in collaboration with the Australian Network on Disability and NSW Department of Family and Community Services.
- Designing a placed-based approach in Western Sydney that focuses on increasing school-to-work transitions for youth-at risk.
Prior to SVA, Andrea worked at KPMG and in Victorian government where she led teams to deliver high-profile policy and program reform across the public, private and non-profit sectors.
Andrea holds a Bachelor of Public Policy and Management (First Class Hons) and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne.
